Something that excites me is having pretty nails. I don’t have time or money for a trip to the salon. I used to get my nails done at a salon for years. After my second child was born, going to a salon just wasn’t a good option anymore.
Confession Time: I like doing my nails at home! Nail wraps have made it so easy to have good looking nails. They are usually fast, cheap, and last a lot longer than regular polish!
I have 4 kids and I don’t have time for polish to dry. I REALLY don’t have time to do a fancy design with polish. Polish tends to chip really easily and I usually end up with at least one chip within 24 hours after applying polish. So for me, YES, nail wraps are better than polish!
There are several varieties of nail wraps: nail stickers also called vinyl nail wraps (I do not recommend these), nail polish strips (probably the most popular), slightly cured gel nail strips (require a uv lamp to finish curing), and gel polish strips. Side note: There are also press on nails (ew, please no! I’ve never had good luck with these) and dip acrylic nails (these just seem messy. I have not tried them for fear of trying to take them off. Also the start up cost is a little too much for me).
My current favorite nail wrap is a gel polish nail strip – found here – make sure you get the gloss styles, (glaze requires uv lamp to cure, they also have press on variety). I love them because of the styles they provide. They speak to my soul!! They are fun and super shiny. They go on easy, they hold up really well, and removal is a breeze. Just slowly peel them off, which works perfect for me! No nail polish remover required! Cost is reasonable at $8 a sheet and they usually offer free shipping for orders over about $15 and shipping is fast.
